| WTF kind of day... |

I was trying to write in my usual journal which I actually pay a bit for when I get a "you need to upgrade" notice. I just paid through my paypal to them like three days ago and it's saying I need to "upgrade?!?" So I'm writing the guy hoping that it will get fixed. I just don't get it as I haven't had this issue before when using paypal to update my account for more time. :( Maybe I should stick with LJ or something but I like this other one and it's really cheap. :P
Other than that, I went to the Doctor today. Apparently my "pink eye" I had last week could have been very serious if I hadn't taken off for the day. It was my uveitis trying to make it's way back into my life. >:( Darn inflammation sneaking up on me as pink eye! Atleast it was in the front of my eye and not the back. When it was in the "anterior" it was really painful and I had to personally keep my eyes dilated daily which was not fun. Have you ever tried doing computer work or driving with dilated eyes? It sucks! So he put me back on my steroidal eye drops and I saw him today and he said it was alot better so he reduced my usage. YAY!!! I'm so happy cause putting drops in every 2 hours was a serious pain in the rear! Plus the fact I like to go out and run around means I'd have to take the meds with me and hope for a bathroom with a mirror to put them in as I suck at eyedrop usage w/o a mirror.
Oh the Zazzle sale I posted about before... it doesn't end till Oct 31st so if you can't decide right now about what you want in the way of designs, you have till the end of the month to figure it out. I can even make some designs for ya if you'd like. Let me know. :)
So those of you aware of this blog... I'm here till the other one is fixed.

So, I had lunch aka dinner a few minutes ago.
It's time for me to go and I'm out the door.
I notice this red truck sort of screech brakes and end up parked behind my van pointed the wrong way but right directly behind my van and blocking the lane. I lock up my door and walk down and guy is in his car with the engine on as I get to my car. I get in and he turns off the engine and gets out but is on the phone. I'm thinking "WTF is this moron doing!?!!??!!" and am about to honk when he comes over so I roll down the window. He says: "I'm sorry but I just learned how to drive stick and I'm still new so I can't move the car. I'm going to get my friend up the row to move it. Are you in a hurry?" :P I say: "Yeah I'm headed for work." and he's like "Oh wow... I'm sorry. I can direct you out." Mind you... I drive a van and the way he was going to direct me out would require me to smack both cars to the either side of me so I declined and said "I'll just call my boss and let him know I'm running late."
So I went up stairs and called work to let them know what was up. Then I called my folks really fast but it was fast cause the friend came out and moved the car within a few minutes. I got my stuff and ran back down and took off.
This is weirder than the time the moron maintenance people were rolling huge pieces of carpet out on the lane and I had to exit. The guy just looks at me like I'm inconveniencing him but the road is one-way on that side so I couldn't exactly turn around and go the other way. The gate only opens from the outside if I did go that way. I'd be more trapped. So yeah... weirdness and it's raining too.
So anyhow... that's today's strange story.'

Well it's not as bad as it could be... they could have actually "totaled" something but all they did was back into my car with their tire or something and hit my back driver's side tail light. *fumes* Thankfully they only broke the white part that covers the reverse light and not the whole fixture. The bulb actually seems to be working or at least it doesn't look cracked. I don't know if it goes on or not.
Just ticks me off the a**hole did that and drove off. It happened sometime this weekend but I only just noticed it. I don't make a note of looking my car over unless I can see something's obviously wrong with it. Just a pisser that I have to get it replaced at my cost cause some moron doesn't know how to watch where they're fucking going. :P And I say they hit me with their tire maybe cause there's a semi tread mark on my bumper and my bumper isn't low... I drive a freaking mini van so it's rather high up. That means the idiot was in one of those "big" trucks the kids seem to like.
I just don't want a ticket for having a broken light when the stupid light works. :P I'm gonna cover it in the meanwhile with some cellophane and tape to keep it safe and secure.
I really wish people would own up when they do something wrong.

So... I won the Verizon Superpages contest... one of the options atleast. The top prize was to get drawn for a weekly "nano ipod" player. Didn't win that because they sucked in their application of entries. I made the mistake of thinking "oh if I do 50 now (beginning of contest) that's going to get split into 10 entries for the rest of the time period..." NOPE! They counted the 50 only towards the first weekly drawing which blew. So each week after it said "you have zero entries for this week's drawing." :( I had already exhausted all the entries I thought I could do review-wise. I only had so many I wanted to do and still be qualified for something.
So the other prizes were as followed:
Anyone who did a large amount would end up qualified as one of the 500 (till spots ran out) for a $50 dollar prize. The other one was you'd get a $25 dollar one if a friend who you referred did atleast 50 entries. My folks only did a couple so I didn't qualify for the $25 but I did get the 50 for doing a minimum of 53 entries. :D I wonder who did the most? I figured 50 was the lucky number since most people won't review more than 10 places in most cases. After a bit people get bored of reviewing and give up. I figured upon that and knew for that reason I'd atleast get the $50 bucks. :D FREEEE MONEY!
Do you think I'd have to pay taxes for that prize? Seems rather ludicrous to tax someone on something under $100 bucks.
Anyhow... yeah I'm happy. :D

And it's Friday! TGIF (toes go in first err or something like that ;) )
Tomorrow I'm going to get my car inspected finally but today I found out something interesting. My fan is not working right. When I turned it on to the highest power it worked ok blowing air inside the van but then when I put it down one notch it turned off. So that switch is broken somewhere or shorted. But if I put it down 2 notches off the top fan speed, it works fine. So it's just the next fastest one that's not working. :/ Not sure what that means and if it's really a bad thing. I just don't want to be stuck in TX w/o a working fan / AC. I mean the AC works... but if the fan is bad then it won't work. :( And that will suck big time being in TX seeing as we have some really hot crappy weather. And in the Winter I need the fan for the heater when it does get cold. :(
Guess that's it for now.
Using this today since Upsaid seems to be down in my particular blog for the database.
Considering I pay for it, it's a good blog site but they have alot of downtime.

Well mostly my hormones out of whack and I feel like someone was twisting my insides around into knots so I was not a happy camper today.
Plus the fact that I was supposed to get to Austin early to meet my friend (who was a sweetie) but ended up getting terribly lost, driving on some side of town I don't know how I got on, and was feeling about as bad as you can.
Then when I get to the right side of town, it was 30 mins into the concert I'm supposed to be at and I missed my friend by a few mins. EEEK! So I'm trying to call him and I guess he was trying to find me. And the stupid phone was giving me a busy signal and the stupid theatre I was going to wouldn't answer. *grumble grumble* So I just finally gave up for a bit and went to the theatre directly hoping for either a refund or a change to the later show. They did the latter and I still hadn't heard from my friend, plus I couldn't find a hotel muchless the one I had intended on going to, so I didn't get to change except for my shirt which I had to do in the shadows behind my van w/o actually removing anything. Girls are good at doing that. I'm ok with it but I couldn't do it in mixed company if I had to w/o accidentally messing up. *blush*
So I'm at the theatre, I've managed to atleast change my top to a nicer one, and put on some makeup although in the dim light of my car interior, it looked ok there but at home later it looked so pale I thought "damn, I must have looked really ill" ROFL! So I got that much done, got the tickets exchanged and for better seats too (whee) and a nice employee of the theatre let me borrow his cell to call my friend. *whee* So my friend was on his way, I was happy, I still felt sick, but I was happy and two tylenol later feeling semi better as my friend showed up. The concert was short but sweet. It was probably best that. I hadn't had the best of afternoons driving around in a holding pattern around town in the worse traffic ever for 3.5 hours straight no including the 1.5 to 2 hours it took me to get to town. Austin traffic sucks to the highest echelon of suckiness! :P
I was going to get a hotel cause I wanted to have a place to change and rest before and after but due to my poor sense of direction, hormonal difficulties clouding my mind, and alot of other things that happened on the road, I just went home after the concert. By then I was so wired I could have lit up a city I think. I'm still a little wired now.
Anyhow... that's the real story. What I tell my folks when they ask (cause they knew I was going) is this...
1) I made it to Austin ok
2) I met my friend and he was a nice person
3) The concert was short and sweet
4) Therefore I decided to drive home after all
End of story. ;)
I'm so glad my friend was so patient. I have never been that lost in all my life. It won't ever happen again especially if next time we go to a venue in MY city. BWAHAHAHAHAH! ;) I know SA better than Austin is all I can say. I get lost in Sa but not as bad as I did in Austin today. I was really freaking out trying to figure out where the heck I was. O_o
Anyhow... alls well that ends well I guess... and I only consumed a small amt of water, two or three Luna bars and on the way home after the concert some mcdonalds. I was so happy for that and so was my poor empty stomach.

| Upsaid is down and it's already been a looooong day |

Yeah... one of those days.
Might aswell be Monday but it's "Wednes"day. :P
So let's see... I wake up and my back is spazing out big time and hurts. I took one of the few hot showers I ever take in the summer and that helped.
I actually got ready for work as early as I could cause my back woke me up early. :P I go out to get my car and what do I see????? A FLAT TIRE!!!!!!!! *big big SIGH* So I walk back up the apt stairs and call work to let them know I might be running late and I have to take the student shuttle to work. Luckily I got to work only a minute late. *whews*
So then a student had a complaint about some printing problems so I was helping him and as he left another student comes up and tells me he saw a student (who was still in the lab at the time) making a fake ID on the computer. So I had to deal with that issue. And then I found out what people are being moved where and I'm just like "OMG" because even though I'm not getting moved, it's not that great.
So yeah... it's been one of THOSE days.
I'm going to try and call the AAA and get my spare put on in the meantime.

Other than that... I took a nice pic of a baby owl on campus. You can see the pic at my other blog.
And the Chicago trip is coming up fast. It's in 2 more weeks! I am hoping it turns out to be as much fun as I'm hoping. :) Alot of people dropped out and that sucks but it's my vacation and I really don't care at this point. The people that are there I will get to meet. I'm not going to just MEET people... people get so hooked on "who" is going to be where instead of thinking "oh wow a new city, adventure, etc..." I just think of it as one more place to go and another way to grow my experiences. I never get out all that much so for me I can't be picky. If I can make it to another place that I've never been to, even if there aren't alot of people there, heck I'm gonna try and have fun. I don't care about politics and such. I'm not rich either. I'm only getting there because my mom insisted on helping me.
I'm not richer than anyone else and I work full time! Without my parents' help I'd never have made it. Plus starting this next month, I'm opening up a savings account for next yr. I'm not going to need my parents' help next yr. I need to start fending for myself alot more than I normally do. I pay for everything on my own but when the crunch comes my folks (and they aren't rich either plus they're retired) thankfully like helping me and my brother out. I hate doing that so I try my best to do things on my own as much as possible. Mostly why I choose not to move back to my home town. They help but they like to guilt trip about it after the fact. So fun as it may be to get help it sucks after the fact. :P
Anyhow... looking fwd to the trip. Gonna buy me a few new outfits today if I can. My brother and dad are bringing the projector up. They don't want me driving down cause it's been so hot and I know one of my tires is making noise or it could be the brakes. My brakes suck but they work. They tend to squeak alot but they aren't NOT working so I'm not scared. Plus I need to clean my van and vacuum it and get it washed and all that fun stuff. I may have to wait. I need all the money for my trip and to make it thru the rest of the month after. *whew*
Ok so this is an official blog entry now. I just meant to write about the owlet but now I've gone on into a whole thread. :P I'M BLOGGING AND I CAN'T STOP! :o

Ok... I'm writing here.
I'm a little frazzled.
Talked to one of the bosses about something so I hope it works out.
I'll go on in length later on if I feel like it but right now I'm just trying to be "happy."

Going to another photo opp Friday.
A co-worker or two has a drum group and they are doing a program.
I was invited to take pictures and help them with some promos thru photos.
Found more film for my regular camera and I will take my digital hoping it works out.
I think I'm liking my film camera more and more. It seems to be coming out really nice overall.
My main issue is I wish it were that quality but digital. I hate the cost of developing film and I would prefer just doing it cheaply. I should take a photo class to see if I can learn how to develop it at home in a darkroom. :P Would be a good thing to know. I know my brother knows how to do it. He won't show me though cause he thinks I will find it tedious and expensive. It probably is a bit expensive at first but seeing as he has alot of the junk already and I could just take it from him ;) if he let me and I just need to actually learn the processes, it wouldn't be anything but savings later on. :D
Other than that... looking fwd to getting paid this weekend. WHEEE!
I am so poor it's not funny and after the busted Cran-Grape incident I'm more broke. I lost $5 bucks worth of food... which would have lasted me a good 4 to 5 days which irks me to no end. It wouldn't have busted if not for the "deviled chicken" can in the bag with it I didn't know was there. I normally put all my large items separate. Plus it was a plastic bottle and shouldn't have busted in the first place when I dropped it but with the can in there it busted all over the pavement. :P The bag kept it from splattering on all but a bit of my shoes. :P So... I had to go spend another $5 bucks (yeah I keep track of my money cause I am poor) or so on more deviled chicken and cran-grape. I really don't spend that much on food when it comes to groceries. I have the bad tendency of buying alot at the beginning of the month then eating out to save it for later in the month when I'm actually poor. :P I'm a dork! LOL I've been buying alot of bread and things that go on bread.
Anyhow... feeling calmer now.
I am so bad at confrontation when I'm trying NOT to be confrontational!
I hold in so much I want to just break down and bawl like a baby.
I need to analyze my emotions to stress. Crying is my first reaction. ;_;
Anyhow... back to work.

Other than that... boring weekend overall.
I slept for most of it feeling the way I did. Seem to do that alot lately. A little worried about my finances cause I had alot of stuff go thru this month and bought a few more things than I should have. My brother showed up the weekend before and forcibly cleaned my apt which seriously ticked me off since I thought he came to visit and not to clean up and tell me how messy I am. :P I guess it needed the cleaning but still... bugs me to death. I did get some nice shots of downtown SA when he took me downtown. I still need to update those to Deviantart (http://lehsa.deviantart.com)
Other than that... read the other blog. It has most of what I just wrote there.

Lots of fun convo on life, anime, jpop and asian cinema to name a few things. I've gotten hooked on Kotoko now that AZNV played her Re-Sublimity video between movies. What the heck does Sublimity mean? I need to look that up. Same as the song from Hack Luminality... what is it with ITY words the Asians love? LOL Confuses me! *shrug*
Ok... back to work... quiet as it is at the moment. :P

Why can't people come up with their own name!?!?!?
I was doing a search for Elledeegee online thru google and found a "webshots" page with my name. I sign up for alot of things but this failed to trigger anything in my memory. I went to look and there are pics of these stupid teen or young college age girls. Typical lame sorority type picture album. I see them made at school all the time here with me trying to help people scan the pics in. Nothing more than some moron's attempt to look cool with their friends.
Anyhow... ticks me off they steal my username for lameoid images of stupid vapid females. >:P
*fumes*
What's worse, no way to contact the idiot to let them know they suck for stealing my name. >:( Apparently Webshots doesn't have a community page beyond community pics posting. No actual "hey I like your pics" kind of post... or in my case "You suck moron for stealing my name!" posting. >:(
I'm the only person with that name... nobody ELSE has ever used it EVER so I know it was stolen. I just wonder where the little witch is from that she stole it from me. I'll go kick her butt and get her banned.

My apt sucks so bad... (sounds like a bad joke)
The power craps out whenever it chooses at random intervals.
Actually it just did that.
2 mins of blackness suddenly. I had to feel my way around to turn on the "tap light" I have hanging in the bathroom. Atleast I have that.
I don't even see why they charge us for utilities when I know for a fact their wiring is WAY under standard by modern day means. (I was around when they had a major transformer give out once and heard something to that effect said.)
I need to move but I have too much junk. :(

Well atleast not here...
My upsaid account decided it had "expired" money-wise which is bad cause I normally have a good $5 bucks in my paypal acct to update it for another month or more but this time I had $.30 in there. :( I used all my cash I earned on Ebay to pay off my trip and expenses. *sighs* I sent the guy who runs Upsaid an "e-check" which I myself hate when people send those but it's better that I send it that way (love the system for Upsaid) than spend more money sending cash thru the mail system (which isn't always so reliable) to his residence in Belgium. I figure the e-check is more of a minor inconvenience as it takes 3 or so days as opposed to a week or more where my acct my accidentally get erased in that time. Atleast now he knows I AM sending him something.
Other than that... this is the last week of Summer classes. WHOOHOO! but that means it's also the beginning of the dreaded "intersession" where we have to start cleaning the germ infested, fecal matter encrusted, nasty icky no good keyboards and mice. *yechs!* We use the blower on the keyboards or else shake them out and all sorts of evil fecally related matter comes flying out. I just feel like it's going to attack me. *EEEK!* It's just nasty. That's one of the pitfalls of working in a computer lab... cleaning and dusting computers, keyboards and mice. Then you have to wash the mice huevos (bad joke in spanish but I'll just let you give it a guess. ;)
So I went to the bookstore today here on campus and noticed (well noticed it the other day too) that I'm so used to my morning "sugar" fix, that I even have the shakes. That can't be good. I'm going to have to convince myself again of how important it is to NOT eat all this crap like I did for 6 mos last yr while worrying that my gall bladder might kill me. Then after I do that, I need to start some kind of walking program or something and then get ready to get this "thing" pulled out. It hasn't really bothered me all that much lately but I still get minor throbbings when I do badly diet-wise.
I'm also mostly over my depression about leaving Mysterium. I really need a local group of friends to hang out with again. I sort of had one way back when I used to ditch my classes (err did I just say that?!?) during my first couple of yrs of college here. I used to drive around when I was bored and ended up one day at this cool comic book store. I met some nice people and we became fast friends. Then just about everyone got busy or moved and I lost track of them. I know atleast one person still lives in town but she doesn't work at that same comic book store so I have clue where she is now. Last I knew she had bought her dad's house or something. *shrugs* and I've since lost the addresses I had for her. *sigh* The other person he moved and I guess got married. Last I heard he was having a kid. He used to come to town off and on and I never had time to go see him. :(
Mysterium is such a compressed version of socializing it's surreal. Like throwing a lamb in with a pride of lions and letting them have a go at it but never actually letting them have the lamb... or atleast before they really get to attached, pulling the lamb out. Then only letting them see the lamb after that as a hologram or something. LOL Ok so that didn't make all that much sense... I'm on a sugar high. I had a Hershey's with almonds, a brownie of some nature from the bookstore, and a slim jim. I love those things! MMMMMMM!
Ok time for lunch... guess I should scat. Need to tell my boss I'm going. Give me a break from all the "I'm an incoming freshmen..." peoples coming in today for id's, logins and other stuff. This is so going to suck when it's Fall and we have 200 people in line asking for things. I really dread the idea of days in the Fall semester... I've seen how awful it can be.
